Brother CP7500 Vs CS6000i Comparison In Detail

Brother CP7500 and CS6000i come in the same segment of computerized sewing machines. CS6000i is one of the most popular beginner machines in US. It is a beginners' favorite mainly because of its features, ease of use, stitch quality and affordability. CP7500 also comes with similar features, but there are some slight differences.

Brother CP7500 Vs CS6000i - Major Feature Differences

Both are computerized sewing machines, but with different designs. The placement of buttons and screen are different on both.

Built-in Stitches

This is the major difference between Brother CP7500 and CS6000i. This is where the decision is made most of the time. CP7500 comes with 70 built-in stitches, whereas CS6000i comes with 60 built-in stitches.  Basic stitches are the same on both machines, CP7500 comes with 10 extra decorative stitches, that's all.  It is not a huge difference, but considering the fact that these two machines are extremely similar in features, we need to point this out.

Work Lights

Both machines are well lit, but Brother CS6000i has an extra LED bulb, which is always great. CP7500 is lit by a single LED bulb.

Feed System

Brother CP7500 uses a 7-point feed system and CS6000i has a 6-point one. On paper, a 7-point feed is better than 6-point one. But in practical conditions, we were not able to find a huge difference. In fact CS6000i is one of the better feeding machines in the beginner category.

Machine Weight

Brother CS6000i is heavier than CP7500. The difference is about 2.9 lbs. But in general, both are lightweight sewing machines and as a beginner, you can easily carry them to sewing classes.
