Brother SE400 Vs PE525 Comparison In Detail

If you search for an embroidery machine in US, you are bound to come across Brother SE400. This is because, SE400 is one of the most popular embroidery machines available in the country. One unique feature that made SE400 this popular is the ability to do regular sewing and embroidery. Sewing and embroidery combo functionality and affordability made SE400 one of the most demanded machines in the market. PE525 is its sibling. But it is very different from SE400 in functionality. PE525 is an embroidery only machine. Let us have a detailed look at the differences.

Brother SE400 Vs PE525 - Major Feature Differences

When you look at both machines, there isn't a lot of difference in design. Both machines use the same design layout. But controls like speed control slider and reverse sewing button are absent on Brother PE525, which is understandable as it is an embroidery only machine. PE525 has a purple floral design, which looks good.

The most important thing to note is that, Brother SE400 is a sewing and embroidery combo machine, whereas PE525 is an embroidery only machine. Editor comment

The embroidery stitch quality on both machines are excellent. Both are very easy to use as well. You can set up the machine in a matter of minutes. So the ultimate choice comes down to one question, Do you need sewing and embroidery combo or are you ok with embroidery features alone?

If you don't own a regular sewing machine, then I would recommend Brother SE400 as it combines both embroidery and sewing. Otherwise you can go with PE525. The best advice I can give is, have a look at the prices and you can easily decide which one you want.
