Editor comment

Both sergers use equally powerful motor capable of delivering 1300 stitches/min. However in ease of use, we felt that Brother 1034D is slightly ahead. Singer 14SH654 is a machine that requires a learning curve, especially in the threading department. The tension also needs to be tweaked often. Brother 1034D on the other hand is much more easier to thread and use. There are no complaints about the stitch quality of both sergers though. In terms of stitch quality, Singer 14SH654 and Brother 1034D are right up there with the best.
