7 Frustration Free Sewing Machines You Can Gift For Christmas 2017

Gifting your friends and family during Christmas season is a custom. I do it all the time. I have surprised many of my friends and family this way. But the question is, what kind of gift do you buy? Being an experienced sewer, I prefer to gift sewing machines (Obviously you should know that the person you plan to gift has some taste for sewing). If I decide to gift a sewing machine, I am giving a fair chance for myself to pick up a quality product, as I have some decent experience with sewing machines. If I was asked to pick up a cell phone as a gift, I will be as confused as a baby in a topless bar.

My theory is, if you are gifting something, it should be a quality product, which the person would love to use without any frustration. I don't want the person to curse me over the frustration caused by the product. 2017 Christmas season is here and it is a good time to buy gifts. If you have decided to buy a sewing machine as gift, this post might help you. I have tried my level best to compile a list of 7 Frustration Free Sewing Machines, that you can gift your loved ones. In my experience, these are the ones that will give you complete peace of mind.

I am not going too technical in this post, you can go through the technical details and performances in the detailed review (click on the product title and it will take you to the detailed review page). Here I am just picking machines based on quality and there will be some basic information about the machine. If I were to gift a sewing machine to someone, I will choose any one of the machines listed below.

#1 - Brother XR9500PRW

If you ask me which is the best beginner sewing machine, I would say it will be a toss-up between XR9500PRW and CS6000i. Since the former comes with few extra features, I will give XR9500PRW an extra point . It is a quality computerized sewing machine with

• 100 built-in stitches

• Automatic needle threader

• Sewing start/stop and speed control slider

• Programmable needle up/down

• Top drop-in bobbin

XR9500PRW may not be the most feature packed beginner sewing machine out there, but it gives you complete peace of mind, which is why I love this machine.

#2 - Brother CS6000i

CS6000i has been on the stage ever since 2007. It has been ruling the beginners' sewing machine category for a whopping 10 years. If a sewing machine keeps its top position even after 10 years, it must be good (real good). You can almost call it a legend. CS6000i is a computerized sewing machine with

• 60 built-in stitches

• Automatic needle threader

• Sewing start/stop and speed control slider

• Programmable needle up/down

• Top drop-in bobbin

It is one of the best heavy duty sewing machines you can get for home use. HD3000 is a heavy duty mechanical sewing machine with excellent stitch quality over thick fabrics. Brother XM2701 is a very entry level sewing machine. This machine will suit those who have no previous experience, but still want to learn and grow their sewing skills. Relatively new in the market, XM2701 made quite an admirable progress, thanks to its quality, features and affordability. Couple of years down the line, I reckon it will become one of the best entry level sewing machine. XM2701 has

• Automatic needle threader

• Top drop-in bobbin

#7 - Brother SE400

This machine is a special mention. If I were to rank SE400 based on quality and features, it will certainly be somewhere on the top. If you are interested in embroidery in addition to regular sewing, Brother SE400 will be a great option. It is one of the best sewing and embroidery combo machines you can get in US.

Sewing Features include

• 67 built-in stitches

• Automatic needle threader

• Automatic thread cutter

• Sewing start/stop and speed control slider

• Programmable needle up/down

• Top drop-in bobbin

I just love this machine for its flexibility. You can do regular sewing and embroidery all in one machine.

Conclusion

I won't say that these are the only frustration free sewing machines you can get. But in my experience, these 7 machines gave me the most peace of mind.
