Singer 7256 Review

Singer 7256 Review In Detail

While Singer 7256 is an ideal sewing machine for beginners and intermediate sewers, it is not a fully computerized machine.

Editor rating

Singer 7256 is the younger brother of Singer 7258. Singer 7256 has more or less the same features except for the number of built-in stitches. This one has 70 built-in stitches whereas Singer 7258 has 100 of them. It comes with a 25 years limited warranty.

Ease of Use

Singer 7256 comes with an incredibly detailed user manual. It explains all the included stitches in detail. The user manual includes an instructional DVD as well. This is an electronic sewing machine. There are 70 built-in stitches which includes 6 fully automatic 1 step buttonholes. The easy to load top drop-in bobbin with clear cover enables you to monitor the thread supply. It comes with a nice little storage compartment, where you can keep all your sewing accessories.

The machine is pretty light as well, it weighs around 14.5 pounds. You can easily carry this sewing machine by the handle, a huge advantage if you want to take the machine to your classes. The threading system on Singer 7256 makes threading very easy, thanks to the automatic needle threader. It really saves time. You can adjust stitch width up to 6mm. It can stitch at a speed of 750 stitches/min. The machine operates quietly and smoothly. Singer 7256 will automatically adjust the stitch length and width for you. So guess work is not required. It does a very good job on thick and thin fabrics. The stitches come out pretty on this machine.

The LED work light is slightly dim to be honest.

An option to manually adjust presser foot pressure would have been great.
